The MSU Flute Society and the Missouri State Music Department hosted its twelfth annual MSU Flute Day, Saturday, April 20, 2013 on the campus of Missouri State University. This event was free and open to the public. It is the region’s premier flute event and offers inspiration every year towards great flute playing!
High school flutists from all over the area performed, followed by a Flute Ensembles Recital featuring the MSU Community Flute Choir, the MSU Flute Quartet, and other exciting chamber music groups.
Next, Robert Dick shared composition in a class entitled, “A Plan for Success with Extended Techniques in Composition.” All current and/or aspiring composers were invited to attend.
This free event is an anual event that no flutist will want to miss!
